We often treat eternity like a distant shore,
A someday hope we store away for when the heart stops beating.
But the Word wore flesh and stepped into the middle of our mourning,
Looked at a weeping sister and shifted the timeline of the world.
He said: “You don’t have to wait for the end.”
I am not a future event or a history lesson.
I am, right now, Resurrection and Life.
This is the Christ.
The One who did not just survive death, but swallowed it whole.
The One who looked at the tomb—
The cold grip of the earth and the hollow sting of death—
And declared that everyone who lives believing in Him
Does not die at all.
Do you believe this?
For ages, we were a people bound by the shackles of sin and death,
Our spirits disconnected from the Father.
But the Word declares that Jesus did not step around the grave;
He embraced death to dismantle its power.
He crushed the terror.
He unlocked the gate and passed through as the King—
The King of Glory.
No more shadows. No more chains. No more distance.
Because He did not do it with a temporary fix.
We are done with the year-after-year reminders of our failure.
The struggle is over.
By a single offering, He has forever—
Not partially, not temporarily, but forever!
Cleansed and perfected those He has made holy.
He looked at my brokenness and saw a temple.
So today, shift your gaze from the grave to the Throne.
No more mourning. No more defeat.
Recognize Him for who He truly is:
The Resurrection and The Life.
He has finished the work.
He has perfected the saint.
He has proven, once and for all,
That your life was worth the cross.
